On 30 June 2026, the TRINEFLEX consortium successfully hosted the hybrid conference “Project Outcomes on Energy Flexibility and Sustainability: Future Energy Perspective for Energy-Intensive Industries” in Genoa, Italy. The event brought together project partners, industry representatives, researchers, policymakers and stakeholders to present the project’s achievements and discuss the future of industrial decarbonisation.
Throughout the event, participants explored TRINEFLEX’s main results, demonstrating how the integration of energy flexibility, process optimisation and feedstock flexibility can help energy-intensive industries become more efficient, resilient and sustainable. The programme also featured the VERALLIA industrial demo case, showcasing the practical implementation of TRINEFLEX solutions in a real industrial environment.
In addition to the project’s technological innovations, the conference addressed key cross-cutting topics, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), future market opportunities, and the importance of gender equality and inclusive innovation in supporting the energy transition. The event concluded with a panel discussion involving sister projects and external stakeholders, highlighting the value of collaboration in accelerating the deployment of innovative solutions across European industry.
The TRINEFLEX consortium thanks all speakers and participants for contributing to a successful event and for supporting the project’s vision of a more flexible, competitive and sustainable industrial future.
