TICASS (IT) is a non-profit consortium, founded in 2010, based in Genoa, Italy, which promotes, disseminates and enhances research and technology transfer activities in the Energy and Environment domain with a proper focus to Sustainable Development and Quality of Life. Its Shareholders: 30 SMEs, 13 Large Enterprises, 3 Research Centers including several Departments of the University of Genoa and 2 Foundations. The Consortium is also the Managing Body of the Regional Research and Innovation HUB “Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development which aggregates 98 among Companies and Research Centers. The Hub is the direct target of funding instruments of the Regional Administration (ERDF funding for SMEs aggregated to the Research and Innovation hub). TICASS plays a relevant role in the aforementioned activities at regional, national and international level, with the main objective of expanding knowledge and introducing innovative technologies to be applied also by means of international cooperation and collaboration with universities, public bodies such as Municipalities and Regional Administrations, and private entities. The Consortium also supports training and technical-professional growth through the awarding of scholarships, research grants and collaboration contracts, and the realization, by means of special agreements with Universities, of PhD courses, first and second level Master’s Degrees, and advanced courses.
