With the business line of Mangement Consulting, DGS extends the field of application of management consulting services to ICT Strategy and Governance, in the areas of strategy, governance and process engineering, already offered in Cyber and Data Protection field. DGS builds and delivers ERP, CRM, SCM, Big Data, Analytics solutions focused on Microsoft technologies, including the ComplEtE® suite, a next-generation end-to-end solution offered in SaaS mode on Azure cloud and natively integrated with Microsoft ERP, CRM and IoT components. Thanks to investments in Research and Development, DGS experiments with the most innovative technologies, such as Blockchain, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, in many different sectors: Circular Economy, Agri-Food Chain, Cyber-Physical Supply Chain, Cybersecurity, Industry 4.0. DGS is part of the Competence Center for Security and Optimization of Strategic Infrastructures START 4.0, one of the 8 highly specialized competence centers on Industry 4.0 issues, provided by MISE, whose activities focus on five application domains: Energy, Transport, Water, Production, Port.

WPs:

• WP1 End user requirements and project specifications: DGS will support the definition of end user requirements and definition of technological specifications • WP2 From data acquisition to digital twin consolidation framework: DGS will support the definition of the data architecture, data management and cybersecurity compliancy, and the digital twin analysis • WP3 Interfacing of AI-enabled DSS with digital twins: DGS activity will focuses on smart contract interfacing with flexible operation • WP4 Integration of energy flexible technologies: DGS will support the analysis of the energy management solutions • WP5 Validation and demonstration activities: DGS will support the demonstration case #2 Glass • WP6 TRINEFLEX impacts and evolution: DGS will support the analysis of the LCA-based decision making support system • WP7 Dissemination, exploitation and communication: DGS will contribute to communication dissemination, exploitation, education and upskilling activities with all partners • WP8 Project management and coordination: DGS will contribute on demand on project management and data management plan and progress monitoring activities

Role/focus:

As experts in supply chain management, cybersecurity, blockchain and system integration, the DGS team will support the definition of the technological and functional specification of the Trineflex architecture in terms of data acquisition and cybersecurity compliancy and digital twin analysis, focusing on the demo glass production process requirements. DGS will support and monitor the deployment of the TRINEFLEX architecture on the project demo sites and will support the partners during the testing and evaluation of the solution with a particular focus on the glass industry demo case of Verallia. Finally, DGS will participate in the definition of the smart contract interfaces and support the consortium during the communication and dissemination phases to exploit the project results over industrial stakeholders.

Since 2005, she has been working in ICT research projects in collaboration with enterprises and research centers, at regional and European level. Expert of IT Governance, Information Security management systems, Risk management. Certified Lead Auditor ISO/IEC 27001:2005, ITIL v3 Foundation, Cobit 4.1, ISO22301:2012 and PMP. She leads research projects at DGS as R&D Manager.

Task leader and Work Package leader in important H2020 projects.

Paolo D’Elia

After a brief experience in ATC software design, Paolo focused on energy industry, working as a Business Process Engineer for a Power Company and designing several solution for power plants automation and management.
Currently Paolo is leading the Software Engineer Unit of DGS SpA, working for the implementation and maintenance of software products (applications and services) providing:
– Compliance with customer process
– Architectural blueprints,
– Technological Guidelines
– Alignment with corporate standards,
– Synergies in the development,
– Control of integration services.
He’s collaborating with the R&D Unit, to achieve research projects on new exciting technologies , such as Blockchain and Distributed Ledgers, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, Industrial IoT.

Alessandra Arezza

After 10 years, she began a new adventure in the industry domain that allows her to reach a strong background in Supply Chain Management. She is also APICS certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM). After more than 5 years working as senior consultant for important industry brands in Italian and International market, she joined DGS as Project Manager for national and international funded projects and she is currently following projects and proposals focused on Industry 4.0. (Digital Twin, AI, Big Data, IoT).

As a Data Scientist, she supports research on cybersecurity and digital solutions and security. In particular, she helps implement the technical innovations of DGS’ risk assessment service, broadening its use into sectors such as transportation, healthcare, agrifood, and many others.
