The HALCOR group, copper tubes division of ElvalHalcor, is a leading global industrial producer of aluminium and copper, operating 16 state-of-the-art plants.
Halcor’s Copper Tubes Plant at Viotia, has a production capacity of 80,000 tons of copper tube products.
Demo case objectives
TRINEFLEX approach/method will be applied with the aim of:
- Acquire deep monitoring insights
- Increase equipment availability, flexibility, efficiency and reliability
- Maximise energy and feedstock flexibility
- Implement a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) interface to incorporate a network of industries and prosumers.
ACTIVITIES
TRINEFLEX approach will be applied to the CHAINTRACK and SINGLE DRAWING in the Viotia Copper Tubes Plant.
The foreseen activities are:
Digital retrofitting will be developed to acquire deep monitoring insights on single- and Chaintrack- drawing through digital retrofitting.
Digital Twins will be developed to increase equipment availability, flexibility, efficiency and reliability.
Process will be optimized to maximise energy and feedstock flexibility by introducing local and distributed storage.
Virtual Power Plant (VPP) interface will be formed between EYDAP, HALCOR and energy communities via MYTIL, to incorporate a network of industries and prosumers.
